FTD (Follow That Dream), Sony BMG's Official Elvis Presley Collectors label was established in 1999 to serve the dedicated Elvis collector and to complement the commercial and artistic level of RCA's retail release schedule by issuing repertoire that is considered of interest to serious Elvis fans and collectors, material that is generally not part of mainstream RCA label releases to the public at large.

What is 'DMM Copper Mastering'?

In short, it means that the audio quality is far more superior then a regular vinyl release. Direct Metal Mastering (or DMM for short) is an analogue audio disc mastering technique jointly developed by two German companies, Telefunken-Decca (TelDec) and Georg Neumann GmbH, towards the end of the 20th century. Neumann was responsible for manufacturing the actual DMM cutting equipment as part of their VMS80 series lathes. Unlike conventional disc mastering, where the mechanical audio modulation is cut onto a lacquer-coated aluminum.

** FTD consider the two CD only re-releases as not new releases as they were originally released with a book.

** FTD are not counting the Vinyl releases, considering them the same as the CD releases with the same titles, although we think at the very least the 'Good Times - The Out Takes' is a different title.

So anyway, we have followed this formula with our list, not allocating a release number for the vinyl releases and CD only re-releases originally released as part of a book release. (Thanks to Ken Jensen for his input).
